Delete your Aghosham account

This page explains how to request deletion of your Aghosham account and the personal data associated with it. Aghosham is an event-services marketplace operated by Aghosham. It applies to accounts created in the Aghosham mobile app and on aghosham.in.

How to request deletion

To request account deletion:

1. Email contact@aghosham.in with the subject “Account deletion request”.
2. Include the registered phone number on your Aghosham account so we can identify it.
3. We will contact you on that number to verify the request, then delete your account and data.

There is no charge to delete your account. Once verified, the request cannot be undone.

What data is deleted

When your deletion request is processed, we permanently remove the personal data tied to your account, including:

• Your name and phone number
• Your login credentials and sign-in sessions
• Enquiries you have sent to vendors, and their contents
• Reviews and other content you have submitted
• Photos and files you have uploaded
• Push-notification tokens for your devices

What data is retained, and for how long

Some data may be kept after account deletion:

• Legal and transactional records we are required to keep for compliance, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution — retained only for as long as the law requires, then deleted.
• Aggregated, anonymised analytics that no longer identify you and cannot be linked back to your account.
• Vendor store data — if your account also operates a vendor store, the public store and its listings are handled separately. Contact us at contact@aghosham.in if you also want the store removed.

Timeframe

Verified deletion requests are actioned within 30 days. Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged on our normal backup-rotation cycle, within a further 90 days.
