2.2 Vendor Data

When you register as a vendor we additionally collect:

• Store / business name
• Business email address
• WhatsApp number
• Store location (city, state, latitude, longitude, street address)
• Uploaded images — listing photos, a store banner, a logo, and any showcase gallery images
• Listing content — titles, descriptions, pricing, and tags

2.3 Usage & Telemetry Data

We automatically collect data about how you interact with the platform, including:

• Pages visited and search queries entered
• Listing views, clicks, and time spent on pages
• Enquiries submitted and items added to your wishlist
• Device type, browser, operating system, and IP address (collected via standard web server logs)

Telemetry events are aggregated over rolling windows (typically 14 days) and used to compute platform-wide ranking signals. Raw event data is not shared externally.

2.4 Communications

When you submit an enquiry, the content of that enquiry (including items, quantities, and any notes) is transmitted to the relevant vendor so they can respond to you.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Platform operation — to create and manage your account, authenticate you via OTP, and display your profile or store.
• Search & discovery — your location and search queries are used to return relevant listings; telemetry feeds our ranking algorithm so popular and high-quality listings surface first.
• Enquiry delivery — to route your submitted enquiry to the correct vendor and provide them with the information needed to respond.
• Platform improvement — aggregated, anonymised usage data guides product decisions, feature prioritisation, and business direction.
• Security & fraud prevention — to detect and prevent abuse, spam enquiries, and unauthorised access.
• Legal compliance — to meet obligations under applicable Indian law.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Intellectual Property — Vendor-Uploaded Content

By uploading images, logos, banners, or any other content ("Vendor Content") to Aghosham, you grant Aghosham a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual licence to host, display, reproduce, adapt, and distribute that Vendor Content on the platform and in related marketing materials (social media, advertisements, and promotional campaigns).

You retain copyright ownership of the original content you upload. This licence does not transfer ownership — it gives Aghosham the right to use the content to operate and promote the platform. You represent that you hold the rights to all content you upload and that it does not infringe any third-party intellectual property.

Aghosham also retains rights over all usage data, telemetry, and aggregated analytics derived from platform activity. This data is used to guide business and product decisions and is not attributed to individual users or vendors when analysed in aggregate.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We engage third-party service providers to operate the platform. These providers act as data processors on our behalf, processing personal data only under our instructions and subject to confidentiality obligations. We do not disclose the specific names of these providers, but the categories of services they supply include:

• Identity verification and OTP authentication services
• Cloud-based file and image storage services
• Hosted database and infrastructure services

We take reasonable steps to ensure these providers maintain appropriate security standards. We do not permit them to use your data for their own purposes beyond providing services to us.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove or anonymise your personal data within 30 days of receiving your written request, except where we are required to retain it by law (for example, for tax or legal compliance purposes).

Vendor Content (images, listing data) associated with a deleted account may be removed from public display but may be retained in backups for a limited period before permanent deletion.
